Counting The Beat: Putting New Zealand on the MAP 2

Late in 2008 I was approached by Jason, a Scottish music blogger, asking Counting The Beat to become the New Zealand contributor to an exciting international initiative, the Music Alliance Pact. On a monthly basis music bloggers from around the globe select a track from their own country which is then posted collectively and simultaneously on those blogs - giving each nation's track international exposure. The MAP has grown over that time to have around 35 contributions from around the globe each month. Unfortunately a number of other commitments mean Counting The Beat will no longer be contributing the New Zealand tracks. However, New Zealand music will still feature with the excellent Einstein Music Journal picking up the role from December 2010. This podcast gathers the NZ MAP contributions for the last 12 months, Dec 2009 to Nov 2010. I would like to thank all of the acts that have agreed to their music being featured over the last two years. It's been a pleasure to bring your music to the world.
